I'm gonna blog about my BKK trip from 8-11th October for keepsakes, it's also one of the highlights of the year as this is the first time I traveled overseas without my family.
It was a rather impromptu trip because we booked everything just a week before!
Day 1
Took one of the later flights available to BKK @ 7:40PM
Had Texas chicken at the airport after check-in.
Boarded the plane and there was plane food!!! (which we didn't know was included)
Landed at around 10 PM and cabbed to our hotel - Baiyoke Sky Hotel. By the time we reached our hotel it was already 12 AM!
View from our room
Then, we went to roam outside our hotel and everywhere was closed so we settled for the hotel's cafe instead.
Turns out the food was not bad! And I had pad thai for the first time which I loved afterwards!
Day 2
We woke up at 8 AM to start the day early and walked around our hotel vicinity in search for breakfast. We were greeted with tonnes of roadside stalls which sold all sorts of food.
Settled at some famous(?) roadside place and had the best pork knuckle rice & wanton soup!
There was this chilli chicken liver/kidney which was super noms!
Cabbed to Chatuchak and this spells SHOPPING!
However, we left this HEAVEN at 1pm thanks to...... someone.... because he thought we had finished the whole area!!!!
I so want to kill this person because I didn't even get to see those cute little puppies for sale and so many other stuffs and it was already Sunday which spells the last day of the weekend market :(
Coconut icecream from Chatuchak
We then cabbed to Siam center and everything there was so expensive! Should have just stayed at Chatuchak the whole day.... *continue to complain*
( ̄へ ̄)
But we had ZEN Sushi for lunch- affordable Japanese cuisine (I know right...... Thailand for Japanese food)
Left Siam Center and cabbed back to the hotel to put our shopping and we decided to stay at the hotel for Thai Massage. However, the massage was just mediocre and so not worth the price (paid about S$42 per person-_-)
Before the massage, they tried Fish Spa!
Which was super funny because they can't stop whining/screaming/shouting/swearing. HAHAHAHA
Food from roadside stalls for dinner that night
Day 3
Rise and shine at 8:30 AM.
Went to the pork knuckle rice roadside stall again for breakfast because it was too good
We practically cabbed the whole time we were there! Didn't even take the bus/train. And it really did costs us a bit of money but saved time. Ohwells....
Next stop was Platinum Mall where I bought more loots than I did in Chatuchak (if not for us leaving early....*grumbling*)
Rested at Toms n Toms coffee where we enjoyed our awesome snack!

Cabbed over to Union Mall next where there were lotsa 2nd hand shops and good shopping for guys!
I did my nails there as well for 200/250baht!
Dinner was at SukiSushi at Union Mall. They have this Korean/Jap buffet thing which was yumsssss
After dinner we walked over to Central World for Krispy Kreme! We spotted some people holding the plastic bag/boxes so we thick skin-ly asked them where they got it from! HAHA
Was supposed to go the night life area that night but Mr J had to fall asleep!!!!!!
So we decided to turn in too :( It was our last night :(
Day 4
It's our last day here and we were so reluctant to leave as well as so regretful about Chatuchak hahaha SH even suggested we come to Chatuchak just to shop during the weekends.
Early in the morning we got scammed by this cab driver to some ulu seafood restaurant for 40baht. There was like nobody in the restaurant and it looked high class but..... CONFIRM EXPENSIVE!
So we just go in since we've nothing to lose anyway (although I was thinking they were gonna do something funny?) and we requested to leave as soon as we saw the menu.
NO PRICE MEANS CHOP!
We took another cab to Siam area to this famous restaurant called "Som Tum Nua" as recommended by Jasper.
After a hearty breakfast, we (or rather I....) decided to chiong back to Platinum Mall because the lady gave me the wrong top the day before. We spent all our baht there and even changed more SGD to buy stuff!
Went back to the hotel to grab our luggage before cabbing over to the airport for our flight back. The plane food was delicious- Curry prawns with rice. I remember because I super love plane food!
Goodbye BKK! \(´∩`。)
Touched down at around 7 PM.
Thailand has really good looking people- from waiters, waitresses to shop keepers/owners and commoners! Like 75% of the girls I see are all so pretty!
LIFE, Y U SO UNFAIR?!
All in all, the trip to BKK was a dream. I've never thought I'd have this chance, to go overseas with the boy, and not to mention Jasper being extremely good company♡♡♡
